I’ve been to different places and I’ve acquainted with a lot of people. Every time I meet a person, first thing they would ask is a common questions; what is your name? where do you live? Simply I answered I am Dinah and proudly say that I came from Gingoog City. In response as they heard Gingoog they would simply react the common expressions; ah……Gingoog? then the following words are more on criticism. Well, it’s okay! I understand and I knew what Gingoog is? and what’s with it.
To make it clear, believe it or not, Gingoog is a wonderful place. In 21 years of living there I can proudly say that it’s a perfect place residential and for peaceful living. There’s a lot of tourists spots there, such as the well known falls in a certain city “The Tiklas Falls”, “The Badiangon” is also known of its cold spring and its fascinating beauty, in fact it is my friends bonding place, aside from its natural beauty many people visit there because it is nearly located from the heart of the city. “The Sikongan Falls” is also located in Gingoog City, it is a small falls with its secured surroundings which a perfect place for family bonding.”the Palapay River” is known as the biggest river in the city, a perfect place for reflection or even meditation. Obviously, Gingoog is a water abundance city that is why it is called as “The City of Water Fall”. The mountain of “Bakid-Bakid” and “Bantawan” are considered as the treasure of Gingoog-on because of its agricultural sources, the healthy soil maintaining the crops, rice and different kinds of plantation.
Gingoog became a city because of its copra rate, in fact the fiesta Inc. and Indophil Inc. are copra exporter placed in the particular city which serve as one of the source of income of all Gingoog-non.
Now! You know the big difference between my place and your. As you see those fascinating assets of Gingoog, I am proud to patronize my own place. There’s a big difference….There’s no place like home…..
